My Trip

Several months ago, I was shocked and appalled to realize that I was lost. The familiar street which I had moments before graced with my gentle footsteps had disappeared. Before me lay an unfamiliar path, adorned with strange, alien houses. Even the grass here looked different, strange shades of green that just didn't seem natural. Even the once friendly sunlight had taken on an unpleasant sheen. It was too bright in this unfamiliar place, and the air around me felt thick and heavy. Aside from the faint pitter patter of my own feet, not a sound could be heard. I soon quickly realized that I was in a roundabout and had been walking around it several times without noticing. My destination was two houses down. Twas a strange trip.

  1. Good description, Wyatt. Sometimes we can be lost and not lost at the same time. I wonder if the last line is necessary. It is a little redundant, I think.
